Privacy Policy

This policy covers the website hidhayathschool.com, run by Hidhayath Matriculation School, Vallam, Thanjavur (managed by Quaid-e-Millath Trust). It explains what personal information the website handles. It does not cover school admission records, which are handled separately by the school office.

What we collect and why

• Reviews. When you submit a review we store your name, your relation to the school (optional), your rating, your message and the date. We use these to check the review and, if approved, show your name, relation, rating and message publicly on the Reviews page.
• A coded version of your internet address. With each review we store a one-way coded value made from your IP address. We cannot turn it back into your address. It is used only to stop spam and repeated submissions, and to let the school block abusive senders.
• Contact / admission form. This form does not send anything to our website. It opens your own email app with the message filled in, and nothing is stored by the website. If you send that email, it reaches the school's Gmail inbox and is handled like any other email.
• WhatsApp button. Tapping it opens WhatsApp with a ready-made message to the school. WhatsApp's own privacy terms apply to that chat.
• Gallery photos. Photos on the website are chosen and uploaded by the school. Location data (GPS) and other hidden photo details are removed from photos uploaded through the admin panel.

Cookies

The public website sets no cookies. Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your own browser only. A single essential login cookie is used on the school's private admin page; it is not used for tracking. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

Services that handle data for us

• Hostinger hosts the website and stores the reviews database and photos.
• Fonts and icons are served from this website itself, so loading a page does not contact any other company.
• Links to Facebook, YouTube and Instagram take you to those sites; nothing from them is embedded on our pages.

How long we keep it

• Approved reviews stay on the website until you ask us to remove them or the school removes them. The coded address stored with an approved review is cleared after 30 days.
• Declined reviews are deleted automatically after 90 days.
• Spam-protection counters are deleted after one day.

Your rights

Children

Reviews may only be submitted by people aged 18 or over, or by a parent or guardian. Please do not include children's full names or other personal details in a review.

If something goes wrong

If we learn of a security problem affecting personal information, we will fix it, assess who is affected, and inform affected people and the relevant authorities where the law requires it.
